    Phiota sweeps Texas State MGC Awards

    San Marcos, Texas - December, 2007

    Texas State colony of Phi Iota Alpha has swept the MuliCultural Greek Council awards at Texas State Univeristy in San Marcos Texas.

    Brothers Carlos "Guanaco" Granillo won the Most Outstanding Fraternity Member.

    Brother Mark "El Mirador" Hernandez won the Most Outstanding Fraternity Executive.

    And the Texas State Colony of Phi Iota Alpha won the Most Outstanding Organization.

    With just four members on campus, and just in their first semester as a recognized campus group, the Texas State brothers have managed to sweep all the awards. Depsite all the hard work put into programming and development the colony has been able to maintain a close to 3.0 average GPA.

    Angel Keen MGC Vice President of Judicial Affairs, had this to say about their win: "This organization has worked hard all semester. They are seen more on campus than larger organizations."
